Emergency nurses’ roles and workforce are significant in terms of anticipating and handling health emergencies, disasters, mass casualty incidents, epidemics, among others. They should be guided and armed with advance skills and knowledge in giving prompt care which is critical in saving lives.

Government then implements program for nurses often called Nurse Certification Program towards specialization which seeks to provide a system of competency-based training and development for nurses through the standardization of basic and specialized courses.
